The GOTA station is a special part of ARRL Field Day, designed to bring new people into the exciting world of amateur radio.
Under the friendly guidance of an experienced ham, you’ll learn how to operate the radio and talk to other stations.
Bands and modes
Bands: 40-, 20-,15- and 10-Meter HF bands
[No Field Day activity is permitted on the 60-, 30-, 17- or 12- Meter HF Bands.]
Equipment
Shelter: I'll bring a 12x12 pop up w/sides, table and 2 chairs. Will want 1-2 volunteers to setup.
Radio: FTDX-10 HF Transceiver run at 50 watts
Antenna: EFHW 40-10meters antenna
POTA performer all band tuned radial vertical whip antenna
20/40 shorted coax band stop filter
